Terry Phelan Sports Hero

Terry Phelan visited our school to talk about how he worked very hard at becoming a professional soccer player.  He said how he wanted to be the best he could be.  When he was 13 years old he had to leave his family to work hard practicing soccer. He never gave up. In 1988 his Wimbledon team won the F.A. Cup.  In 1994 he played for the Irish national team and won the FIFA World Cup.  Now, he is a coach for the Otago Soccer Team.
